What Is 3PL Drop Shipping?

3PL drop shipping is a fulfilment model in which your supplier sends stock to a third-party logistics (3PL) warehouse, and the 3PL stores, picks, packs, and ships orders to your customers under your brand. It combines the low-overhead economics of traditional dropshipping with the speed, accuracy, and customer experience of a professional fulfilment operation.

Traditional dropshipping has your supplier ship directly to your customer, usually from offshore. Delivery times are long, packaging is generic, and you have no control over the unboxing experience or the return address on the label. With 3PL drop shipping, your stock sits in our Eastern Creek facility in Sydney, orders dispatch same day when received before 2pm, and every parcel ships under your brand with no reference to NPFulfilment anywhere on the package.

Your customers get Australian delivery windows and a branded experience, while you get the margin benefits of not running your own warehouse. Our 3PL warehousing infrastructure supports storage, picking, and dispatch for every order.

How It Works

Our dropship fulfilment workflow runs in 5 stages and is fully automated once your store is connected to our WMS.

Your supplier sends stock to NPFulfillment:

Product arrives at our Eastern Creek facility, where we receive, count, and store inventory against your account.

A customer places an order in your store:

Your Shopify, WooCommerce, Amazon, or BigCommerce platform pushes the order into our WMS in real time.

We pick and pack under your brand:

Our team picks the order using pick-to-light, packs it to your white-label specification, and applies the carrier label.

We dispatch:

The parcel is handed to Australia Post, Sendle, StarTrack, or DHL for same-day dispatch on orders received before 2pm.

Your customer receives tracking under your brand:

Tracking is pushed to your customer through your store’s standard order notification. Any returns come back to our facility using a return address that shows your brand, not ours.

White-Label and Blind Shipping

The unboxing experience is where traditional dropshipping falls down. Our white-label and blind shipping workflow removes every trace of NPFulfilment from the outbound parcel. Boxes, mailers, tissue, inserts, and packing slips all reflect your brand. The return address on the carrier label is yours. The customer service contact on the packing slip is yours. The tracking notification comes through your store in your brand voice.

For brands that want to go further, our dropship fulfilment operation supports branded marketing collateral in every order, including thank-you cards, coupon codes, promotional flyers, and product samples added at the pack station. Platform Integration

Every 3PL drop shipping operation depends on how well the warehouse syncs with the store. We integrate natively with Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento, BigCommerce, Amazon, and eBay. The integration is real-time in both directions: orders drop into our WMS at checkout, inventory decrements on your store at the moment of pick, and tracking pushes back to your customer automatically.

If your store lists products from multiple suppliers, our system handles SKU-level supplier mapping so orders are picked from the correct stock allocation without your team having to manage it manually. For brands running custom platforms or proprietary checkout systems, we connect through API.

NPF has been a standout 3PL partner for us. Their barcode-driven system means inventory discrepancies are virtually nil, and their customer service team gets back to us quickly. We’ve had two account managers so far—both switched-on, resourceful and keen to sort things out quickly. The IT crew is just as sharp; any Shopify tweaks are handled almost straightaway. I toured the warehouse recently and was genuinely impressed by how clean and well-organised everything is. In short, NPF delivers the reliability and attention to detail we need so we can focus on brand growth. Only thing worth noting is we’ve had some issues with our other brand with large box items and mix ups with SKUs as they items are too big to be processed by their barcode system. Doesn’t happen at all with our smaller items though!
